Why it came home:

John Hubbard was a brilliant artist, based in Dorset in the magical Chilcombe, where he and his wife Carol created the most beautiful garden. We have spent many happy times there and this screen print; signed in pencil and numbered typically demonstrates his masterful use of colour. His work is in many national collections; including Tate St Ives. If we didn’t have a house full of his lovely work there is no way we would spare this one. .
