Why it came home: our example has had a bit of mid-life crises and dispensed with its habitual tartan slippers and cardie. It has slipped into a bit of Kvadrat plum velvet and swapped its itchy caravan shtick for louche comfort with deeply comfortable feather cushions. It also shed its orange varnish and is sporting a bleached Scandi vibe. We love these benches equally relaxed in the kitchen or for slouching about on in your living room.
